Callistemon citrinus (crimson bottlebrush) This species is possibly the most widely planted of all of the Callistemons both in Australia and overseas and it is this species that has given rise to a large number of cultivars. Seedlings will usually produce red flowers but occaisionally it will bear white flowers and shades in between.
Callistemon citrinus is a highly adaptable plant for screening and shelter.

Generally, the concentrated clusters of markers represent the geographical range where this species occurs naturally. Outlying markers and geographically disassociated markers represent observations of the species in cultivation and/or recorded in herbaria etc.
