Kunzea baxteri, commonly known as Scarlet Kunzea, is a spreading shrub which usually grows to a height of between 1 and 3 m.
Very attractive red flowers when they are in bloom from Winter to Spring.
Kunzea baxteri grows in coarse sandy soil or laterite, often near granite outcrops in heath, scrub or woodland.
Due to its growth habits and dense foliage, it’s a great option for those looking for a screening or hedging plant for windbreak, also working as a feature plant.
With nectar-rich, brilliantly red blooms, this striking Aussie native will attract a wide range of natural wildlife to your garden.
