Kunzea ambigua or white kunzea is a medium shrub usually around 2 metres but may grow either smaller or larger depending on local conditions. white kunzea occurs on sandstone derived and sandy soils in coastal and subcoastal areas extending from New South Wales to Eastern Tasmania.
Kunzea ambigua (white kunzea) is a reliable shrub which adapts well to a much wider range of soil types and climatic conditions.

Generally, the concentrated clusters of markers represent the geographical range where this species occurs naturally. Outlying markers and geographically disassociated markers represent observations of the species in cultivation and/or recorded in herbaria etc.
