Hakea Laurina is also known as Kodjet and Pin-cushion hakea and is endemic to Western Australia.
With red and creamy flowers that bloom from April to July, Kakea Laurina grows to a height of up to 6 metres, and a width of 3-5 metres.
They are foud in sandplains on the coastlines of southwest Australia, and also lightly scatter through SA, VIC,NSW and QLD, on sandy clay.
This plant can be used for hedging, wildlife habitat, windbreaks, control of soil erosion or as a street plant, and is adaptable to a variety of different soil types, as well as being tolerant to frost.
