Eucalyptus melliodora (yellow box) is a medium to large tree, with brown fibrous bark at the base graduating to smooth-barked branches revealing attractive white smooth bark. The timber from the tree is very dense and has been used over the years for railway sleepers and fence posts and premium firewood.
Eucalyptus melliodora (yellow box) is also known as one of the better native trees for honey production, the tree produces abundant white flowers.
