Also known previously as Eucalyptus lansdowniana this is a totally underrated species endemic to the lower southern end of the Eyre Penissula in South Australia.
Whilst this is essentially a coastal species it is very adaptable to inland areas. It is lime tolerant and occurs naturally in areas of exposed limestone. This is a small-medium tree of mallee form
As the name suggest it yields masses of purple flowers usually in Sring. Highly recommended
