Acacia Spectabilis, or commonly known as the Mudgee Wattle, grows up to 5m tall.
This species if frost tolerant, however if the drought lasts too long this can cause the leaves to go yellow and drop, so adequate watering is required.
The flowers are golden yellow and bloom generally from September through to October, however if the end of August is warmer they can bloom early.
Acacia Spectabilis can be pruned to shape for the first several years. Light pruning after flowering leads to a bushier growth, however if older wood is cut, regrowth won't follow.
