Acacia Notabilis, commonly known as the Mallee Golden Wattle, grows to about 3 metres, with golden flowers blooming from July to October.
Found growing in the far western plains of NSW and central-north and north-west areas in Victoria, as well as in and around the Adelaide SA area.
They grow in mallee communities and open woodlands with stony and rocky hills.
They also grow in a variety of different soils such as; brown lateritic foam, red clay-loam, shallow stony sands and red silty gravely sand.
